Wor Karen’s been a clog dancer for twenty years or more

And her dancing has always been tight and neat

But if she had heeded the advice we gave her long ago

She wouldn’t have such problems with her feet

Keep yer feet fit Karen hinny

And protect them from the shock

When a wooden sole impacts upon the ground

You can prevent discomfort

With some sorbothane insoles

That will keep your joints and bones all safe and sound

Both times that she fell pregnant Karen danced on ‘til the birth

And her skipping it was always on the beat,

She let out her skirt waistband to accommodate the girth

But she never used protection on her feet

Etc….

She said her clogs were nice and snug, there wasn’t any space

And that thick insoles would make them far too tight

Her heels would get all rubbed up and her toes pushed out of place -

But eventually she had to see the light

Etc….

Now when Karen got to middle age the years of foot abuse

Came home to roost and made her poor feet ache

So that every time she danced out or gave them too much use

The pain was more than our poor lass could take

Etc….

So now Karen’s worked upon her clogs with special stretching oil

And the sports soles they are finally in place

But take heed of Karen’s lesson – use a sorbothane insole

And you’ll always clog with smiles upon your face
